David Allen, Founding Partner
David is a Founding Partner of Chayton Capital, responsible for the firm's overall operations and real estate investment strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. He leads the management of valuations, lettings, sales, and acquisitions across the portfolio. He was previously a Partner at Knight Frank and Co-Head of the European Property Valuation team, advising institutional investors, funds, and international banks on transactions across major Eastern and Western European markets. Earlier in his career, David operated his own real estate consultancy in the region, advising governments and international organisations on commercial and residential projects. David is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Jaromir Peklo, Managing Partner
Jaromir is a Managing Partner at Chayton Capital and a member of the Central and Eastern Europe Portfolio Management team, overseeing asset management and direct project execution. In addition to real estate, he also leads initiatives in the circular economy, clean energy, education, and innovative healthcare sectors. Before joining Chayton, Jaromir co-founded Aetheon Capital, a Czech private equity firm focused on special situations in Central and Eastern Europe. His earlier roles include Member of the Executive Board at Dexia, senior positions at Deloitte (restructuring), Raiffeisen Bank (treasury and investment banking), and leadership roles in the financial and commodity brokerage sector. He has also advised on renewable energy and environmentally focused investments across the region. Jaromir studied private equity and real estate finance at the Wharton School, holds an MBA from INSEAD, and earned an MSc and PhD in Management, Organisational Theory, and Corporate Governance from the University of Economics in Prague. He is a Board Director of Maple Bear Bilingual Schools in the Czech Republic.
James Dewhurst, Partner
James is a Partner at Chayton Capital with over four decades of experience in stockbroking, investment advisory, and fund management. He is involved in portfolio strategy, investor relations, and capital markets engagement. He began his career in 1981 as a stockbroker and investment adviser with firms including Charterhouse Securities, ING Barings, and Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux. In 2006, he transitioned to fund management, joining Syndicate Asset Management Plc to lead operations for its offshore funds division. He has since held senior consultancy roles advising wealth managers, funds, and corporate finance teams, most recently at Alexander David. James brings extensive market knowledge and long-standing relationships across the financial services industry.
David Scott FCIS, Partner
David is a Partner at Chayton Capital with more than 40 years' experience in corporate broking, investment banking, and private equity. He advises companies on capital raising in London and US markets, as well as on mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. His career began at L. Messel & Co in 1985, followed by senior positions including Director of Corporate Broking at ING Barings, Director at Resolution Partners, and Director of Corporate Finance at Lewis Charles. In 2006, he co-founded Alexander David Securities, an FCA-regulated broking firm later listed on AIM. He is currently a Director of Abraham Accords Prosperity Group Limited, focused on cross-border investment in the MENA region, and Non-Executive Chairman of Get Mapping Limited, a UK-based aerial mapping company. David also holds board positions with several private companies.
